The Agent for the scheme Ken Parke planning working with Elcock Associates who drew up the plans and provided CGI images commented that “The proposals involved the conversion of a semi derelict former chicken shed to residential use. This was a rather complex matter because the building did not appear to the council to be suitable for conversion within the permitted development rights. We put together a very detailed argument taking into account recent appeal decisions, case law and guidance to demonstrate that the structure of the building was sufficiently robust and capable of conversion. The successful outcome was the result of a good team effort. For me the best bit is providing a life changing opportunity for my clients to create a quality residence out of what was a derelict building.”
